Stir-frying broccoli is an easy method to make a healthy veggie side-dish for lunch. Broccoli is a healthy veggie which contains dozens of nutrients. Broccoli is mostly available only in Indian metros and hard to find in rural areas. Cooking methods might impact the valuable nutrients contents in broccoli. Stir-frying broccoli could preserve most of the nutrients for you.

Broccoli Stir Fry Recipe / Broccoli Side-dish preparation with step by step photos and a quick video.

Ingredients
  • Broccoli -1 small floret
  • Big Onion - 1 finely chopped
  • Sambar powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil -1 tbsp
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds -1/2 tsp
Directions
  • Step 1 Take a bowl and boil water. Add broccoli florets
  • Step 2 Add turmeric powder.
  • Step 3 Add salt and mix it well.
  • Step 4 Cook for 3 minutes.
  • Step 5 Drain the broccoli and keep it aside
  • Step 6 Take a pan to add oil.
  • Step 7 Add mustard seed and let it splutter.
  • Step 8 Add cumin seed.
  • Step 9 Add chopped onion and saute until slightly browned.
  • Step 10 Add chopped green chilli and curry leaves. Saute it well
  • Step 11 Add sambar powder and salt. Saute it well
  • Step 12 Add boiled broccoli florets and saute it well
  • Step 13 Cover the lid and cook for 3 minutes until the spice powders are blended.
  • Step 14 Broccoli Stir fry is ready to serve.
