Ingredients
  • Fenugreek Leaves / Fresh Methi - 1 cup
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek Seeds/ Methi/ Vendayam - ¼ th tsp
  • Curry Leaves - a sprig
  • Shallots - ¼ th cup
  • Garlic - 6 chopped
  • Tomato - 1 chopped
  • Sambar Powder - 1tbsp
  • Tamarind extract - 1 small lime size
  • Water as needed
  • Salt - to taste
Directions
  • Step 1 Take a Kadai and add oil
  • Step 2 add mustard seeds
  • Step 3 Add Fenugreek Seeds/ Methi/ Vendayam and let it splutter.
  • Step 4 Add shallots (small onion) and saute it well
  • Step 5 Add curry leaves
  • Step 6 Add tomato and saute it well
  • Step 7 Add salt,turmeric powder and saute it well until tomato become soft and mushy
  • Step 8 Add sambar powder and saute it for a minute
  • Step 9 add fenugreek Leaves / fresh Methi and saute it well until leaves shrink in size.
  • Step 10 Add tamarind extract and mix it well
  • Step 11 Add required water and mix it well
  • Step 12 Cover the lid and cook it for 10 minutes
  • Step 13 Once it’s done, remove the lid and mix it well
  • Step 14 Serve it with hot white Rice

1.  Take a Kadai and add oil

2. Add mustard seeds

3. Add Fenugreek Seeds/ Methi/ Vendayam and let it splutter.

4. Add shallots (small onion) and saute it well

6. Add tomato and saute it well

7. Add salt, turmeric powder and saute it well until tomato becomes soft and mushy

12. Cover the lid and cook it for 10 minutes

13. Once it’s done, remove the lid and mix it well. Serve it with hot white rice
