This homemade biryani masala recipe would control the level of spice and simplify your work. Readymade biryani masalas from grocery shops might contain preservatives and you will never get the restaurant taste.

Biryani Masala Recipe | How To Make Homemade Biryani Masala Powder preparation with step by step photos and quick video.

Ingredients
  • Cinnamon stick (Pattai/Dalchini) - 4 inches
  • Cloves (Karampu/Lavang) - 2 tbsp
  • Star Anise (Anisipu/Chakkar phool) - 2 tbsp
  • Kapok Buds(marathi moggu) - 2 tsp
  • Pepper (Milagu/Kali mirch)- 2tbsp
  • Cardamom(Elachi)- 2 tsp
  • Nutmeg(Jaiphal) - 1/2 tsp
  • Black Stone Flower(Kalpasi) - 2 tbsp
  • Poppy Seeds (Khus Khus/kasa kasa) -2 tsp
  • Fennel(Sombu/Saunf)- 3 tbsp
Directions
  • Step 1 Take a thick bottomed pan and add 4 inches cinnamon stick (pattai/dalchini)
  • Step 2 Add 2 tbsp of cloves (karampu/lavang)
  • Step 3 Add 2 tbsp of star Anise (anisipu/chakkar phool)
  • Step 4 Add 2 tsp of kapok buds(marathi moggu)
  • Step 5 Add 2tbsp of pepper (milagu/kali mirch)
  • Step 6 Add 2 tsp of cardamom(elachi). Saute it until they turn crisp and aromatic.
  • Step 7 Add 1/2 tsp of nutmeg(jaiphal)
  • Step 8 Add 2 tbsp of black stone flower(kalpasi)
  • Step 9 Add 2 tsp of poppy seeds (khus khus/Kasa Kasa)
  • Step 10 Add 3 tbsp of fennel(sombu/saunf). Saute it until they turn aromatic and keep it aside
  • Step 11 Transfer to a bowl and allow to cool down completely.
  • Step 12 Blend to a fine powder and transfer to the airtight container once it’s become cool.
  • Step 13 Store biryani masala powder in the airtight container and make a user to prepare yummy biryani. Off course tummy also increases when you have biryani very often. πŸ™‚

Making of Biryani Masala Recipe | How To Make Homemade Biryani Masala Powder:

 

  1. Take a thick bottomed pan and add 4 inches cinnamon stick (pattai/dalchini)

6. Add 2 tsp of cardamom(elachi). Saute it until they turn crisp and aromatic.

7. Add 1/2 tsp of nutmeg(jaiphal)

8. Add 2 tbsp of black stone flower(kalpasi)

9. Add 2 tsp of poppy seeds (khus khus/kasa kasa)

10 Add 3 tbsp of fennel(sombu/saunf). Saute it until they turn aromatic and keep it aside

11. Transfer to a bowl and allow to cool down completely.

12. Blend to a fine powder and transfer to the airtight container once it’s become cool.

13. Store biryani masala powder in the airtight container and make a user to prepare yummy biryani. Off course tummy also increases when you have biryani very often. πŸ™‚
